Marc D'hooge

Marc D'hooge joined EIB in 1996 and his experience in financing and structuring of European private and public sector projects in the field of Research and Innovation goes back to the very first years of this millennium. Closely involved since 2008 in the design and implementation of the innovation Financial Instruments under FP7 and Horizon 2020 (InnovFin), as well as EFSI, Marc joined EIB’s Innovation Finance Advisory (IFA) team at the beginning of last year, focusing his energy on the team’s portfolio of horizontal and transversal activities and market intelligence gathering, including work on the European Innovation Council (EIC). Marc is currently leading EIB’s Thematic Finance Advisory Unit. InnovFin is a joint EIB Group and European Commission initiative to support Research and Innovation projects by improving access to debt financing and creating additional funding capacity, in support of the EU’s objective to make Europe the world’s most competitive, knowledge-driven economy.
