Julia Reinaud

Julia is Director of Advocacy and Government Relations at Gates Ventures, the private office of Bill Gates.  She joined Gates Ventures in July 2018. She leads the organization’s Europe relations, and works with the team on the implementation of the Breakthrough Energy Coalition – a group of individuals and institutions committed to accelerate the commercialization of breakthrough technologies to address climate change and energy access.  Julia is based in Paris.
Prior to Gates Ventures, Julia served in a variety of director and management roles in the climate and energy sector – leading industry and energy innovation programs at the European Climate Foundation, ClimateWorks Foundation, the Institute for Industrial Productivity (IIP) and as an analyst at the International Energy Agency.  
Julia holds a PhD (with distinction) in Economics and Industrial Strategy and a Masters in Corporate Strategy and Industrial Organisation from University Paris Dauphine.
